Accessibility statement
Built for everyone.
We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA. Every interactive piece on this site has a version that works without a mouse, without motion and without JavaScript.
Every scene has a plain version
- 3D roof
- A labelled list of the nine layers
- Hail test
- A full table of results
- Before / after
- Arrow keys; side by side without JS
- Live sky
- Decorative; a still gradient
- Storm mode
- A real toggle button
What we've done
- Keyboard: every control is reachable with Tab, the menu traps focus while open, and Escape closes it. A skip link jumps to the content.
- Reduced motion: if your system asks for less motion, the sky holds still, scenes show their final state and nothing animates on scroll. Add
?static=1to any address for the same. - Contrast: text and controls are checked against AA contrast on both the dark and paper backgrounds.
- Structure: one H1 per page, headings in order, landmarks for navigation, main content and footer, and labels on every form field.
- Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers; the ones that carry meaning (the radar, the before/after drawings) have text alternatives.
Known limits
The hail test's falling-stone animation is visual only; its result is announced as text. The 3D roof is decorative, so its story is told in the text beside it.
